4" Wide, Ordovician Aged, Fossil Brittle Star - Morocco
This is a 4" wide, fossil brittle star from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. The brittle star fossil is highly detailed and their brown/orange coloration is due to to the oxidization of iron pyrite. There is one repaired crack running through the rock.
