2.3" Ordovician Starfish (Petraster?) Fossil - Morocco
This is a 2.3" wide, Ordovician aged starfish (Petraster?) from the Tioririne Formation near Kaid rami, Morocco. The orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidation of iron. This specimen bears limited restoration to the fossil and a repaired crack through the rock.
