3.4" Metallic Stibnite Crystal Cluster with Quartz - China

This is a remarkable cluster of stibnite crystals from the famous Wuling Mine, China. The crystals have great metallic luster, fine striations, and are in overall good shape. Small gemmy quartz crystals can be seen covering some of the smaller stibnite crystals, along with much of the specimens center.

Stibnite is a lead-gray mineral made up of antimony sulfide and is the main ore of antimony. It often forms groups of long, shiny metallic crystals radiating out at different angles, which look like something out of a sci-fi movie.

Toxicity Warning: Stibnite (antimony) is toxic and can be harmful if inhaled or swallowed. Most of the risk is long-term, chronic exposure to its dust. While a crystal sitting on your shelf doesn't pose a health risk, you should wash your hands after handling, keep out of reach of children, and please don't lick the stibnites.
