4.4" Twinned Selenite Crystals (Fluorescent) - Red River Floodway

This is an absolutely spectacular selenite ball with twinned crystals from the famous Red River Floodway deposits in Manitoba, Canada. The very gemmy, honey colored crystals are large and nearly pristine with the entire piece measuring 4.4" across. The crystals are highly fluorescent under short wave UV, and will even glow for several seconds after the UV light is turned off. This is a true collector quality piece.

These crystals rare crystals are unique to the locality and are formed in the underground claw when water carrying selenite evaporates under certain conditions. Every crystal is unique, just like a snowflake. Typically these crystals are found 3-6 meters underground requiring substantial excavation work.
