Well Preserved Dyrosaur Jaw Section, Morocco

This is a beautifully preserved jaw section of a Eocene aged Dyrosaur from the phosphate deposits in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco. Dyrosaurus was a large marine animal, reaching up to 6 meters in length. There were several genus/species in this formation.

The jaw section is in wonderful shape with 4 teeth still in their original positions in the jaw. The jaw section is 4.2" long and the largest tooth protrudes about 1.2" above it. It was carefully prepared to remove the matrix surrounding it. There are crack repairs in two of the teeth and some stabilization to the jaw but no restoration.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
