Fossil Nyssidium Seed Pod From Montana - Paleocene

This is a cool fossil of a seed pod from Nyssidium arcticum. It was collected in the the Fort Union Formation near Glendive, Montana. It's Paleocene in age or about 60 million years old. These trees produced spiky balls (fruit) full of seeds.
