.24" Coelophysis Tooth From New Mexico - Early Dinosaur

This is a tiny but rare tooth from the early theropod dinosaur Coelophysis. It comes from the Bull Canyon Formation in Quay County, New Mexico. This formation is Upper Triassic or approximately 200 million years old. Comes in an acrylic display case.

Coelophysis was a small, slenderly-built, ground-dwelling, bipedal carnivore, that could grow up to about 10 feet in length. It is one of the earliest known dinosaur genera.
