2" Silurain Fossil Sponge (Astylospongia) - Tennessee

This is a fossil sponge of the species Astylospongia praemorsa from the Silurian period Beech River Formation of Tennesse. There is a small section of crinoid stem attached to this specimen where it preserved alongside the sponge.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
