12.2" Cretaceous Ray (Rhombopterygia) Pos/Neg - Lebanon

This is a beautifully preserved, fossil ray (Rhombopterygia) from the Upper Cretaceous deposits near Byblos, Lebanon. This specimen is 12.2" long and includes both the positive and negative impressions of the fossil. There are a couple of repaired cracks in the rock but there has been no restoration done to the specimen.

Comes with a pair of display stands.

The Upper Cretaceous Lebanese lagerstätte yields some of the most exquisitely preserved fossil fish in the world. Over 80 genera are currently described, with many more still awaiting description. These beautiful fossils have been quarried near Byblos, Lebanon for well over a century and include sharks, rays, shrimp, ray-finned fishes and more.
