1.6" Cretaceous Brittle Star (Ophiura) Fossil - Texas
This is a 1.6" wide fossil brittle star (Ophiura graysonensis) from the Grayson formation of McLennan County, Texas. It is Cretaceous in age, or approximately 110 million years old. There is a repaired crack through the brittle star where the rock broke during collection.
